They focus on gradually building up a repertoire of pieces or songs they can perform well, and improving the reliability, accuracy, and musical expression of their performances.
As you read those descriptions, you probably found yourself nodding along with one in particular, thinking “Yep! That’s me!”

These are a little bit like personality types. They don’t fully describe the uniqueness of you, but they provide a helpful shorthand for understanding yourself better.
As we shared this idea of the three “Musical Cores” with our members, they were often struck by how liberating it was.
Immediately, they could see that if they’re a prototypical “Jammer”... then it’s okay that they’re never all that excited about endless grinding away to master each and every note from the sheet music.
Or if they’re a “Creative” then it’s absolutely fine if they never want to perform in front of anyone.
And the “Performers” could give themselves permission to focus fully on mastering their repertoire and levelling up their expressiveness.
In a world of information-overload and endless avenues to explore, it’s all too easy to wind up feeling like you “should” be doing everything.

Accelerator membership has been running for several months already, providing amazing results for a range of musicians already.
But because we are still putting the finishing touches on the new Musical U platform, and have a few more awesome features in the works for Accelerator membership, we aren’t “officially” opening the doors just yet.
So we’re calling this a “beta” version of the membership to acknowledge there are still some parts in development.

But even if they didn’t, the truth is that musicality is universal.
While it’s true that specifics vary across styles and instruments, the core skills you need and the way of practicing Jamming, Creativity and Performance are so central to music itself, our training material and Accelerator Workshops apply across all instruments and styles.
This is why a musician with great musicality can easily pick up a new instrument and quickly attain a great level of ability—because the instrument specifics are really only a small part of true, holistic musicality.
We already have Accelerator members succeeding across a wide variety of instruments and styles, proving that this unified approach works well. (Not to mention 15+ years of prior experience providing the world’s leading musicality training using this approach!)
So you can be confident that no matter your preferred style(s) or instrument(s), Accelerator membership will serve you well.

We do encourage live attendance wherever possible, as it gives you the chance to connect with our team and other members, and receive on-the-spot guidance.
We vary the weekly call times to help accommodate a wide range of schedules and timezones and increase the odds that you can attend regularly.
However, all Workshops will be available to you to watch on-demand afterwards, and the Accelerator team are active in the corresponding Discussion Boards to answer any questions or provide any help you might need.

No problem.
If you can’t bring your instrument, or aren’t able to play (e.g. due to temporary injury or noise considerations), you’ll still be able to benefit, and we still encourage attendance.
It is ideal if you can have an instrument to hand in most cases, but depending on the topic and your way of participating, you can always learn a lot during the session to apply on your instrument later.

No, there is never any pressure to participate live, it’s entirely optional to speak up or play something for the group.
With that being said, we are confident that after attending some of these friendly and supportive Workshops, you will feel ready and eager to take part.

It’s never too soon to start musicality training :)
Our rule of thumb has always been that it’s normally good to have been learning your instrument for a few months, to be able to get full benefit from Musical U’s material.
But if you want to dive in fully from the outset, or you’ve already got at least a few months under your belt, then Accelerator membership is the best option.
There is a lot you can learn with just our DIY material inside regular membership, but you will learn faster and more easily if you’re also able to take advantage of the Accelerator Workshops.

Your member profile and training progress will be kept intact, but you will lose access to the weekly Accelerator Workshops, past Workshop recordings, and any other features specific to Accelerator membership.
